At Oranes, formulation is not disconnected from the land. Every olfactory composition we create starts from our own extracts, those we have cultivated, harvested and transformed. This upstream mastery gives us an intimate knowledge of each material, its seasonal variations, its subtleties.

We support perfumers and luxury houses in developing bases, accords and exclusive compositions. Each project is a dialogue between the possibilities of our materials and the creative vision of our clients.

The approach

Three stages, one craft

Sélection

Choosing from our palette of raw materials those that will carry the composition. Essential oils and absolutes, each brings its own signature.

Construction

Assembling materials, dosing, balancing. The formula is built through successive iterations, between technical precision and olfactory intuition.

Evaluation

Testing, retesting, letting it evolve over time, adjusting, exchanging with the partner. A successful formula keeps its promise over time.

The craft

A work of precision and patience

Each formulation begins with choosing an olfactory direction. Materials are selected one by one, dosed to the tenth of a gram, assembled in a precise order. The spatula working an absolute, the beaker where ingredients meet for the first time.

It is these gestures, repeated hundreds of times, that transform raw materials into a coherent and expressive composition.
